    05:00 AM, our English speaking tour guide and car will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the Ninh Kieu pier for embarking the authentic small boat (sampan).
  • Can Tho floating market and the sunrise (sometimes) sampan ride
    Arrive at Cai Rang floating market – a must see in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.   • Around 7:30 AM, get in the car in Can Tho and depart for Tra Su forest.
    07:30 AM, finish the morning floating market & Mekong fish and farmer market and local life and Mekong river culture. The car will pick you up in the Can Tho’s countryside and keep going to the Tra Su forest.
  • Tra Su Melaleuca Forest
    Arrive at Tra Su Melaleuca Forest. You will have a motor boat in the forest, go and spot as many birds as you can with your now trained eyes and the directions of the guide. Pay attention to the sounds of the forest to grasp a better idea of this mesmerizing place, declared one of one of the area’s most peaceful spots in Southern Vietnam. After getting to the 25-meter observation tower to enjoy the fascinating view over the mountain in the area, the expanses of cajeput forest and the white dots of flying storks. Your tour will slow down by taking the hand-rowing sampan for a close-up birdwatching and enjoy the most beautiful flooded forest in Vietnam as well as SE-Asia.   • An ancient Khmer pagoda
    Surrounded by the small minority Khmer village, The Khmer ancient pagoda, 300-hundred-year-old, has a very tranquil setting and is one of the oldest ancient Khmer-style pagodas in Mekong Delta. Walking around the pagoda, you will feel the relaxation, airy but no less ancient thanks to the pleasant complex of peaceful compound with elaborate stupas and ornate painting of spiritual scenes with the Buddha on the outside of the main building.
  • End the tour
    Around 02:30 PM, head back to Can Tho city. Arrive Can Tho around 5:30pm. Or free drop off in Chau Doc around 3:30pm.

    A River Morning, a Forest Noon, a Temple Evening

    The day unfolded like a storybook. Thomas picked us up with his gentle smile, and by dawn, we were gliding along the Mekong. The floating market felt like a living poem—boats nudging gently, smells of soup and coffee rising from the water, and sunlight slowly painting the river gold. Thomas handed me a pineapple slice cut right from a boat, and I swear it tasted like sunshine.

    After that came a family noodle workshop tucked away in the quiet banks. No fancy machines, just warm people and time-honored craft. I loved the quiet pride in their movements.

    As the sun climbed higher, the forest called. Tra Su was almost mythical—shimmering green water, trees rising from flooded earth, birds darting through the canopy. The view from the tower felt like standing above the lungs of the Mekong.

    Lunch under a forest roof refreshed us, and just when I thought I couldn’t be more enchanted, we reached a Khmer pagoda that pulsed with peace. It wasn’t flashy; it was sacred.

    Every moment of this day made me breathe a little deeper. Thank you, Thomas, for guiding us with such grace.

    The Hidden Colors of the Delta

    Minh met us with a big smile at 5 a.m., and we headed straight to the boat station. The sun hadn’t risen yet, but the river was already alive. The floating market was humble but magical—so different from anything I’d ever experienced. Minh’s stories helped us see what the place used to be, and why it still matters.

    Next was a noodle-making family—so warm, so generous. Watching them work with care and skill made me appreciate every strand of noodle. We tasted their pizza and even got to help for a moment. What a joy.

    Canals came next. Peaceful, poetic, alive with dragonflies and birds. I felt like we were floating through a watercolor painting.

    Tra Su was like turning the page to a new chapter. From the tower’s height to the soft rowing in the flooded forest, I was overwhelmed by its quiet power. We had lunch in the forest, and it was honestly the best meal I had on the trip.

    Then came something I didn’t expect: the serenity of an ancient Khmer pagoda. The paintings, the breeze, the spiritual presence—it brought tears to my eyes.
