I’ve done a lot of tours in Southeast Asia, but this one stood out for its authenticity and smooth organization. The 4 AM pickup from Sa Dec sounded intimidating at first, but it turned out to be a beautiful, quiet drive. By the time we met Danh at the Can Tho boat station, the river was waking up with golden light.
Danh was calm, kind, and informative—he gave us so many insights into how floating markets work, how people adapt their lives to the river. We floated among pineapple and coffee boats while the city stirred around us.
The fruit garden was like stepping into Eden. Rambutan, guava, longan—Danh encouraged us to try them all, and we did.
At the noodle workshop, I loved how the local family let us into their world, no filters. Watching the rice sheets drying in the sun was fascinating, and the noodle pizza? So crunchy and flavorful.
The cacao farm was a surprise highlight—Danh explained the whole process with such passion. The cacao milk was rich, and the wine had a kick!
I loved that lunch was simple but delicious—just real local food. Slept most of the ride back to Sa Dec, full and happy.
