Partenza all’alba da Sa Dec — 4 di mattina! Ma ne è valsa davvero la pena. Una volta arrivati a Can Tho, la nostra guida Hannah ci ha accolto con energia e un sorriso sincero.
Il mercato galleggiante era pieno di vita: barche cariche di ananas, caffè, zucche… Abbiamo fatto colazione direttamente in barca! Hannah ci ha spiegato come funziona il commercio e come si riconosce cosa vende ogni barca.
Poi, una pausa tranquilla tra i canali piccoli, e la visita a un giardino tropicale dove abbiamo assaggiato frutti che non avevo mai visto prima.
Il laboratorio di noodles è stato il mio momento preferito. Tutto è fatto a mano, con una precisione che incanta. Hannah ci ha spiegato ogni fase, e abbiamo assaggiato i noodles fritti con erbe fresche.
Alla fine, la fattoria del cacao. Non sapevo che in Vietnam si producesse cacao! Il sapore della cioccolata era intenso e puro. E abbiamo bevuto anche vino al cacao, una vera sorpresa.

Une merveilleuse matinée hors du temps. À 4h du matin, on est venus me chercher à Sa Dec, et à peine une heure plus tard, je naviguais à Can Tho avec David, notre guide passionné.
Le marché flottant était déjà en activité. Bateaux pleins de fruits, de légumes, de sourires. On a même pris un café vietnamien glacé directement depuis un bateau-vendeur — incroyable ! David nous expliquait les petits détails qu’on n’aurait jamais remarqués seuls.
Ensuite, balade dans les canaux tranquilles, puis visite d’un jardin tropical. On a goûté plein de fruits (ramboutan, longane, mangoustan). David connaissait chaque plante.
La fabrique de nouilles était fascinante — du travail artisanal, précis, transmis de génération en génération. Et cette sorte de crêpe frite à base de nouille… un délice !
Mais la grande surprise fut la ferme de cacao : on a goûté du lait de cacao, du chocolat à 100%, et même une liqueur locale. Tout était fait maison.
Enfin, un déjeuner simple et délicieux dans un petit restaurant local. Je recommande cette expérience à 100%.
