Can Tho rice noodle factory (not rice paper)Firstly, we do not want you to miss this place. They call it a factory but actually it is run by a family and a lot more authentic than you expect (no shops, no souvenirs). Secondly, the rice noodle is not rice paper. How and Why? Your guide will tell you! You’ll be impressed by the colorful rice noodles, and how fascinating the rice noodles are made by locals. The family will serve you the yummy rice noodle pizza made by the member of the family….

Can Tho tropical fruit gardenIt is an educational and fun trip to learn some things about the trees and fruits, leaves and flowers at the fruit garden.
Your lovely sampan keeps exploring the waterways and reaching to the local tropical orchard, your guide will share a lot of information about native tropical plants in the region, and you can savor some fresh seasonal fruits. -
Can Tho secret canals, quiet, empty and with no touristsWhat a romantic trip! Leave the crowds and the market behind and enjoy an intimate peaceful sampan ride in the secret canals on the way back to the city. Watching the local children playing in the water, the locals preparing things for 10AM-breakfast. You may catch the silhouettes of a gentle woman quietly taking guests across the canals by a tiny boat and the more.

Can Tho Rice Noodle Factory & Villages
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
Waking up at 4:30am is not something I do willingly, but I would do it again in a heartbeat for this tour. Our guide Minh was absolutely wonderful — easygoing, knowledgeable, and very in tune with the vibe of our small group.
The floating market was quieter than I imagined, but that actually made it better. We could really take it all in — the people cooking breakfast on their boats, the locals chatting in the morning light, the noodle soup passed to us from another boat. It was so flavorful and warming.
The noodle “factory” was one of my favorite parts. It felt like we were visiting someone’s home, not just observing from the outside. We saw the whole process and even got to taste the rice noodle “pizza.”
I really enjoyed the walk in the tropical garden too — Minh pointed out plants I’d never noticed before and taught us a few local names.
But the silent canal ride back… that was magic. Just birds, trees, and the gentle sound of paddles on water. A perfect way to start the day.
I took probably 200 photos during this tour, but none of them really captured the peace I felt. Our guide Danh made sure we understood every moment — not just what we were seeing, but why it mattered.
The floating market wasn’t busy, but it didn’t feel sad. It felt like a way of life that still holds dignity. Danh told us about how it’s slowly fading, and I felt grateful to witness it.
The noodle soup breakfast on the river was so cozy. I’m vegetarian and Danh arranged the perfect version with mushrooms and herbs.
The visit to the rice noodle “factory” — really just a hardworking family’s home — was humbling. Steam, rhythm, no pretension.
The canals at the end were the real magic. Birds flying low, kids waving from the bank, old boats creaking quietly in the distance. It was more than a tour — it was a poem.
