Delightful and deeply human tour with David

The Mekong Delta came alive in the softest way imaginable. David was punctual, polite, and very thoughtful throughout. He didn’t rush anything — every stop felt like a slow unfolding of the region’s daily rhythm.
I was moved by his explanation of the shrinking floating market. Instead of feeling sad, it made me appreciate that I was lucky to witness it while it still exists. The breakfast soup was comforting, and I appreciated how David asked about our dietary needs ahead of time.
At the rice noodle factory, I was amazed by the process. I had always assumed “rice paper” and “noodles” were the same — they’re not, and now I know why. The family who runs the place were so humble, and that spicy noodle cracker they gave us was honestly addicting.
The canals near the end… magical. Still water, shaded paths, dragonflies, and a few locals paddling to school or work. A soft, deep, and beautiful morning.
