Can Tho Rice Noodle Factory & Villages
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
Waking up at 4:30 AM was 100% worth it. Chris and the driver picked us up exactly on time, and before I knew it, we were gliding along the Mekong in a tiny sampan, watching the first soft light of day break over the river. The floating market wasn’t just a photo-op — it was alive, real, and surprisingly intimate. Chris explained the deeper meaning behind the market’s fading presence, and I felt like I was glimpsing a piece of history that won’t be around forever.
Breakfast on the boat (vegetarian noodles for me!) was so satisfying, especially paired with pineapple still warm from the sun. I absolutely loved the rice noodle workshop — no gimmicks, just real family doing real work, and the “noodle pizza” was something I’ve never tasted before.
Ending the tour through the peaceful, shaded canals was my favorite part. No tourists, no noise — just a few kids waving from shore and birdsong in the trees. Thank you Chris for making this one of my favorite mornings in Vietnam.
Lam’s deep knowledge and gentle manner made this tour truly authentic. The floating market was lively and fascinating, with Lam explaining the history and why it’s slowly disappearing. The rice noodle workshop was charming and delicious—the noodle pizza was a highlight! The fruit garden and secret canals provided a peaceful and refreshing contrast to the market’s energy. Lam’s warmth and attention made us feel like guests, not tourists, and this was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip.
