Itinerary
  • Pick-up
    5:00 AM, our English speaking tour guide and car will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the Ninh Kieu pier for embarking the authentic small boat (sampan).
  • Can Tho floating market and the sunrise (sometimes) sampan ride
    Arrive at Cai Rang floating market – a must see in Can Tho, Mekong Delta. Your guide will explain and tell you why "early market" "why floating market here" and "why floating market is getting smaller after every 365 days" "why we should see it in real life, real smell before it disappears" and more. The experience includes the best noodle soup on the river tour. Even our guide will take care of your vegetarian breakfast as well. Find a reason to interact with the river life.
  • The Mekong's fish and farmer market (no-touristy)
    Visit the Mekong's fish and farmer market (no-touristy) lets you see the Delta's true heartbeat. It's where locals trade fresh fish, fruits, and produce in a lively, authentic setting untouched by mass tourism. You'll witness real daily life, colorful scenes, and the spirit of community that sustains the Mekong.
  • The tour will be serving the fresh seasonal tropical fruits at the floating market as well.
  • The organic cacao farm
    The sampan keeps reaching to the organic cacao farm where the guide will tell you interesting stories about cacao and Mr. Cacao and how to make chocolates, wines, comestics... The tour includes a glass of cacao milk. (better to know: This visit includes the farm experience and a homemade cacao drink; the chocolate production process is not included.)
  • A ride of your life in Mekong (cycling 15km)
    Let’s bike (15km) like an insider and make “a ride of your life in Mekong”. Your cycling tour will weave in and out untouched peaceful villages, tropical orchards, countryside roads. Stop and pass by many small canals.
  • On the cycling way, you will visit the incredible paddy rice fields (seasonal)
    You will visit the incredible paddy rice fields (seasonal) with hundreds of hectares of green and yellow rice fields and the tour guide will stop at one of the best rice fields to visit to learn all about the Mekong Delta Rice Fields (rice fields are seasonal in the dry and wet season).
  • The homegrown fruit garden along the biking way!
    On the cycling way, you will visit and walk around the local fruit garden where the guide will tell you interesting stories about local Mekong countryside life, homegrown garden and fruits.
  • Back to hotel
    Our car/taxi picks you up, and transfers back to Can Tho city. Around 12:15Noon end the tour at the hotel in Can Tho City.

    A Slice of Paradise on Two Wheels and a Sampan

    I’m still amazed by how much we did in just one morning! Chris met us with a warm smile at 5AM and the adventure started right away. The floating market at sunrise was a dream – boats filled with fruits, coffee vendors weaving through, and the most delicious noodle soup I’ve ever tasted.
    But the highlight for me was the peaceful sampan ride through the hidden canals. The sounds of nature, the slow paddle… it was a meditative moment.
    Then we jumped on bikes and cycled through the countryside – banana trees, papaya, children waving hello. The cacao farm was a surprise hit, and I never knew fresh cacao milk could be so tasty.
    If you want something real, raw, and full of heart – this tour is it.

    A Beautiful Blend of Nature and Tradition in Mekong

    Our guide Chris made this early morning tour truly special. Witnessing the Cai Rang floating market at dawn was a rare and beautiful experience, enhanced by Chris’s insightful stories about the market’s history and the challenges it faces today. The fresh pineapple and noodle soup served on the boat were delicious and authentic. The family-run rice noodle factory amazed me with its colorful creations and the fascinating noodle-making process. The peaceful sampan ride through Can Tho’s canals was a perfect moment to connect with nature. Biking through quiet villages and orchards was a highlight, especially visiting the organic cacao farm where we enjoyed fresh cacao milk and learned about local chocolate-making traditions. The fruit garden walk rounded off an immersive and educational experience. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to discover the Mekong’s heart and soul.
