When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
From the first moment, Chris made us feel like old friends. He adjusted our bikes, made sure everyone was comfortable, and set off with an easy pace that allowed us to soak in every detail. The air was thick with the smell of wet earth and the hum of distant boats.
The cacao farm was like a time capsule. Chris explained how it survived wars, floods, and economic changes—all because of the family’s devotion. The chocolate-making process fascinated me, but the glass of cold cacao milk stole the show.
Later, under the towering ficus tree, Chris told us stories of wartime guerrillas, and suddenly this peaceful place took on a different depth. It reminded me how layered Vietnam is—its history, its land, and its people.
Cycling back, I didn’t want it to end. It was more than a tour. It was a quiet revelation.
This tour didn’t feel like a tour at all. It felt like being invited into someone’s world. Hannah was a warm and insightful guide, always patient, always engaging. She taught us to greet people in Vietnamese and encouraged us to interact along the way.
At the cacao farm, we walked among trees that have stood for over half a century. I never realized how intimate the chocolate-making process could be. Holding a freshly harvested cacao pod in my hands, I felt like I was part of something ancient and real.
The fruit garden was equally enchanting—lush, fragrant, and bursting with life. Hannah shared recipes, old traditions, and childhood memories as we strolled. Biking through the rice fields in the soft afternoon sun, I realized this was more than a cultural tour—it was a lesson in joy.
