When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.
Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.
Choosing the 15 km route with Hannah was the best decision of our trip. She led us along winding dirt tracks that cut through mango orchards and lotus‑lined canals, stopping to let us sample guava and longan right off the tree. Her gentle storytelling wove in lessons about local agriculture, from planting cycles to sustainable farming.
The cacao farm visit felt like stepping into a tropical sanctuary. Under the canopy, we watched workers carefully ferment and dry beans—a process that transforms humble fruit into the chocolate I know and love. Hannah’s guidebook of anecdotes made every fact stick.
Afterwards, the fruit garden burst with vibrant flavors—dragonfruit, passionfruit, and something I’d never tasted before: jackfruit straight from the tree. The final ride past golden rice fields, with the sun dipping on the horizon, was pure magic. I felt like I’d pedaled into the heart of Vietnam’s soul.
David picked us up right on time at 2 PM, and from the first moment, his warm humor set the tone for an unforgettable afternoon. We started cycling through back‑country villages where life moves at a gracious pace—women sorting rice by hand, children chasing ducks along narrow canals. David paused at a local homestead to introduce us to the rice‑field farmers, and I’ll never forget the look of pride in their eyes as they showed off their crop.
At the cacao farm, the aroma of roasting beans greeted us. Mr. Cacao himself led a small demonstration of chocolate‑making, pouring melted nibs into molds under the shade of ancient trees. The rich cacao milk he served felt like liquid sunshine.
Our final stretch through the endless rice paddies, glinting under the late‑afternoon light, turned the simple act of biking into a moving meditation. By the end—dusty, sun‑warmed, and utterly enchanted—I knew this was more than a tour. It was a journey into the everyday poetry of the Mekong Delta.
