Waking up early was 100% worth it for this unforgettable tour. Thomas picked us up at 5:00 AM and by sunrise, we were gently floating among the vibrant chaos of the Cai Rang floating market. Thomas’s commentary was engaging—he shared both historical background and fun local stories. Sipping on fresh pineapple juice right on the boat while watching river life unfold was surreal.
Later, we glided down narrow canals to a beautiful fruit orchard where we tasted exotic fruits I’d never seen before. The final stop was at a family-run noodle house where we watched colorful rice noodles being made by hand. The “noodle pizza” was a fun and delicious surprise. The warmth of the local family, the peaceful river, and the colors of morning made this one of my favorite experiences in Vietnam. Highly recommended!
I wasn’t sure if waking up at 4:30 AM would be worth it, but it absolutely was. Lam was waiting for us with a smile, and we were soon cruising along the Mekong as the sky turned pink. The floating market felt like a secret world opening up before our eyes. Lam shared so many personal and cultural insights—it was like walking through a history book, but alive. We tried fruits I had never tasted before, and the noodle-making family was incredibly gracious. Watching them work was a privilege. The noodle pizza? A surprising highlight! This tour gave me memories I’ll carry for a lifetime.
