If you’re looking for something real in Vietnam, this tour is it. Our guide Hannah made us feel welcome from the very beginning. She explained the floating market’s unique system with so much clarity, and her affection for the region was contagious. We sipped Vietnamese coffee on a boat while surrounded by traders selling fresh produce. The tropical orchard visit was relaxing and filled with interesting fruit varieties. Hannah was a walking encyclopedia of local fruit knowledge! Watching the noodle-making process at the family home was like stepping into another world. The noodle pizza was fun, tasty, and made us all laugh. A beautiful, human experience.
Thomas, our guide, picked us up before dawn with a calm and cheerful attitude. Watching the sun rise over the Mekong while surrounded by boats was a breathtaking experience. Thomas shared insights into the daily life of the sellers and their families, which helped me see the market as more than just a spectacle. The sampan ride through a quiet canal was a moment of deep peace. In the fruit garden, we tasted lychee and jackfruit, and learned about farming traditions. The noodle house was my favorite part—seeing how rice becomes noodles and sharing a simple, delicious meal with the family made me reflect on the beauty of slow, meaningful living.
