I wasn’t sure if waking up at 4:30 AM would be worth it, but it absolutely was. Lam was waiting for us with a smile, and we were soon cruising along the Mekong as the sky turned pink. The floating market felt like a secret world opening up before our eyes. Lam shared so many personal and cultural insights—it was like walking through a history book, but alive. We tried fruits I had never tasted before, and the noodle-making family was incredibly gracious. Watching them work was a privilege. The noodle pizza? A surprising highlight! This tour gave me memories I’ll carry for a lifetime.
From the pickup to drop-off, everything ran perfectly. Duy was an incredible guide—kind, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of his culture. We watched the floating market come alive with the morning light, and it felt like a living painting. I learned how traders communicate, where they live, and what a typical day looks like on the river. The orchard was peaceful and a great contrast to the market’s hustle. At the noodle house, I was blown away by the process of making rice noodles. The woman who cooked for us made us laugh and treated us like family. 10/10 experience.
