A lovely morning in the Mekong

I only had half a day free in the Mekong and I’m so glad I chose this short version of the tour.
Minh, our guide, met us at the Cai Be boat station with a big smile. We hopped on a boat and slowly cruised past stilt houses and local life.
I loved the coconut candy workshop—it’s simple but sweet (literally). Tasting pop rice while watching it explode out of the pan was fun.
The traditional music performance was brief but authentic. Minh explained that it’s a dying art, so I felt lucky to experience it.
Then came the best part: the small sampan ride through the canal. It was quiet, shaded, and beautifully green.
Lunch was in a peaceful garden and the elephant ear fish was crispy and flavorful.
Back at the boat station by early afternoon, just in time for me to return to my hotel and rest. A compact but rich experience!

Merci Thomas.
