Abholung in Saigon pünktlich, Fahrt bis Cai Be angenehm. Dort wartete Chris, unser Guide – sehr freundlich, spricht fließend Englisch.

Better than a direct transfer – this was an experience

I didn’t want to waste a day just driving between Saigon and Can Tho, so this tour was the ideal solution.
The morning car ride was quiet and efficient. At Cai Be, we met Duy, who brought the Mekong to life for us.
We started with the river village and saw real daily life along the banks—kids waving, grandmas washing veggies. Then we stopped at a small workshop for some sweet (and strong!) tastings.
The floating market was small, but Duy was honest about it, and I appreciated the context he gave. The highlight for me was the sampan ride—so tranquil and beautiful.
Lunch was generous and served in a lush garden. I’d never had fish served that way before—it looked like a sculpture!
We finished with a boat ride to Vinh Long, visited huge pottery kilns, and then got picked up by a private car. Arrived in Can Tho around 4:00 PM, just in time to check in and rest.
If you’re heading to Can Tho, do this instead of a boring transfer.
