Tours in group
Traveling with my partner I hoped for a Mekong Delta experience that would feel authentic and personal—and this tour gave me exactly that. From the moment I stepped off the car in Cai Be and was greeted by our guide, Hannah, I felt welcomed and at ease. Hannah had such a lovely, down-to-earth energy—knowledgeable without being overbearing, and incredibly attuned to the group’s pace.
Our first stop at the village workshop was full of delightful surprises. We watched the making of coconut candy and pop rice, and even tried snake wine, which was… an experience! Hannah explained the process behind each item with fun anecdotes about Mekong life. You could see how proud she was to share it.
Passing the remains of the Cai Be floating market, Hannah didn’t shy away from talking about how much things have changed after Covid. It made the moment bittersweet, but also more real. There’s beauty in honesty, and she offered plenty of it.
The sampan ride through narrow canals was the moment I’ll never forget—so quiet, so green, with life unfolding quietly along the banks. I found myself lost in the rhythm of the paddles and the sounds of the jungle.
We had a home-cooked meal in a peaceful garden, with the famous elephant ear fish. It was so fresh and flavorful, and Hannah made sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. Ending the day at the Vinh Long brick kilns gave the whole experience a grounding finish—stark and beautiful in a very different way.
A perfect balance of culture, peace, and heart. Thank you, Hannah—you made this more than just a tour.
Lam shared the kind of stories that stick with you. Not just facts, but his own memories, his hopes for the region, and the quiet beauty of life along the river. I loved watching the music performance, hearing how the tradition is passed down. The pop rice was delicious, but what moved me most was the sense of resilience — how these communities have come back post-Covid with grace. Lam let us sit in silence when the river was still, and filled the air with laughter when he joked with locals. Beautiful experience, thanks to a beautiful person.
