This didn’t feel like a commercial tour — it felt like Hannah brought us to her hometown. Her genuine love for the Mekong and its people was so touching. She gave us space to soak in the quiet beauty of the river but was also full of stories when we were ready to hear them. The sampan ride, in particular, was magical. I didn’t take a single photo during that moment — I just wanted to be present. Hannah had even prepared small gifts from a local shop for each of us. The thoughtfulness of everything was overwhelming in the best way.
Thomas was a riot! He kept the mood light while giving us tons of insight. My favorite moment was watching him help a local lady explain how pop rice is made — it popped everywhere and everyone laughed. The day was full of joy, color, and culture. He taught us about Mekong life in a way that was respectful but also engaging. I especially appreciated how he supported local businesses — he knew every family by name. Lunch on the island was perfect, with fruit straight from the garden and a sweet tea that tasted like summer. We left Can Tho tired, happy, and full of gratitude.
