Pick-upThe car driver (no tour guide) will pick you up from your hotel in Can Tho City and transfer to Cai Be boat station (about 10:00 AM) where your tour guide will greet and welcome you for embarking the boat.

Coconut cand & pop riceArrive in Cai Be, start the Mekong boat trip from there. Discover the village, house on stilts. Then, keep cruising and visiting a local workshop, there are things to see such as coconut candy producing process (very kid-friendly), pop rice, rice wine, snake wine...Enjoying free samples of local specialties and discovering daily activities of the local Mekong people.

The boat continues on reaching the island for enjoying Vietnamese traditional musicThe boat continues on reaching the island for enjoying Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử - A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as - Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Your boat trip also passes by Cai Be floating market area but it has already disappeared after Covid.

Diese Tour war eine echte Entdeckung. Unser Guide Minh sprach exzellent Englisch und war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Bootsfahrt durch die Dörfer, vorbei an Stelzenhäusern und üppigem Grün, war traumhaft. Besonders gefallen hat mir die Fahrt mit dem Ruderboot durch die kleinen Kanäle – so ruhig und malerisch! Die Musikdarbietung war kurz, aber eindrucksvoll. Das Mittagessen war wunderbar frisch, besonders der Elephant Ear Fish! Auch die Töpferei am Ende war sehr interessant. Ich habe das Gefühl, viel über das echte Leben im Delta erfahren zu haben. Danke Minh für diesen tollen Tag!
Duy made this day so much more than sightseeing. His stories gave real context to everything we saw—from the coconut candy to the traditional music performance. I especially appreciated his honesty about how the floating markets have changed post-Covid. The visit to the brick kiln was unexpectedly fascinating, and lunch under the trees was delicious and relaxing. But the rowing sampan was my favorite moment—it felt like time stopped. The trip from Can Tho to Cai Be and back was seamless thanks to the driver. It’s a full day, but every minute was worthwhile.
