Pick-upThe car driver (no tour guide) will pick you up from your hotel in Can Tho City and transfer to Cai Be boat station (about 10:00 AM) where your tour guide will greet and welcome you for embarking the boat.

Coconut cand & pop riceArrive in Cai Be, start the Mekong boat trip from there. Discover the village, house on stilts. Then, keep cruising and visiting a local workshop, there are things to see such as coconut candy producing process (very kid-friendly), pop rice, rice wine, snake wine...Enjoying free samples of local specialties and discovering daily activities of the local Mekong people.

Cai Be Floating Market (about 10 boats after Covid)The boat continues on reaching the island for enjoying Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử - A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as - Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Your boat trip also passes by Cai Be floating market but it has already disappeared after Covid (now Cai Be floating market has about 10 boats only, it will be great to see the beautiful Can Tho floating market on the next day).

The rowing sampan and small canalsLeave the big boat behind for a while. Let’s experience the rowing sampan (with the locals) and a small canal on Tan Phong Islet. A must photo of Mekong featured with the sampan.

Lunch in the gardenHome-cooked lunch is served and included in the garden on the islet (set Menu included elephant ear fish).

Vinh Long pottery kilnsAfter lunch, take a boat ride along the mighty Mekong river to Vinh Long and stop for a visit at the amazing traditional brick kiln and pottery.

End the boat tour in Vinh Long & take the car back to hotel in Can ThoDisembark in Vinh Long where your car driver (no tour guide) waits for you there and picks you up for Can Tho city. End the tour in Can Tho around 04:00 PM.

ホーチミンやカントーの都市とは全く違う、メコンデルタの「素の暮らし」に触れる一日でした。Duyさんの日本語はとても上手で、彼の説明でこの地域の文化や人々の生活にぐっと親しみが湧きました。特に感動したのは手漕ぎボートでの静かな水路の旅。鳥の声とオールの音だけが響き、まるで時間が止まったかのよう。昼食も現地の家庭料理で、味もボリュームも大満足。蛇酒には少し驚きましたが、面白い体験でした！Duyさん、ありがとう！
Abbiamo fatto questo tour partendo da Can Tho e ci è piaciuto tantissimo. Hannah è stata bravissima—preparata, simpatica e con un italiano sorprendente! La parte con le caramelle di cocco e il pop rice è stata molto interessante, soprattutto per i miei bambini. Il giro in sampan nei canali stretti è stato proprio come nei film: silenzioso, verde ovunque, e senza turisti. Il pranzo nel giardino era abbondante e davvero buono, con la famosa “elephant ear fish” servita in modo scenografico. Dopo pranzo siamo andati in barca a Vinh Long e visitato un forno tradizionale per i mattoni: impressionante per quanto è caldo e manuale il lavoro. Grazie Hannah per una giornata così vera.
