Pick-upThe car driver (no tour guide) will pick you up from your hotel in Can Tho City and transfer to Cai Be boat station (about 10:00 AM) where your tour guide will greet and welcome you for embarking the boat.

Coconut cand & pop riceArrive in Cai Be, start the Mekong boat trip from there. Discover the village, house on stilts. Then, keep cruising and visiting a local workshop, there are things to see such as coconut candy producing process (very kid-friendly), pop rice, rice wine, snake wine...Enjoying free samples of local specialties and discovering daily activities of the local Mekong people.

Cai Be Floating Market (about 10 boats after Covid)The boat continues on reaching the island for enjoying Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử - A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as - Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Your boat trip also passes by Cai Be floating market but it has already disappeared after Covid (now Cai Be floating market has about 10 boats only, it will be great to see the beautiful Can Tho floating market on the next day).

The rowing sampan and small canalsLeave the big boat behind for a while. Let’s experience the rowing sampan (with the locals) and a small canal on Tan Phong Islet. A must photo of Mekong featured with the sampan.

Minh was a fantastic guide who made our Mekong boat trip from Can Tho truly memorable. The coconut candy production was fascinating and very kid-friendly. The rowing sampan ride through the small canals was peaceful and offered a close look at local life. The traditional Vietnamese music on the island was a cultural highlight. Lunch in the garden was fresh and tasty, especially the elephant ear fish. The pottery kilns in Vinh Long were interesting and educational. Minh’s warmth and knowledge made this a perfect day.
Duy was an incredible guide who made the Mekong Delta come alive for us. The coconut candy workshop was engaging and kid-friendly, and the free samples were delicious. Cruising the small canals on the rowing sampan was peaceful and beautiful. The traditional Vietnamese music performance was captivating. Lunch in the garden was fresh and delicious, with the elephant ear fish a standout. The pottery kilns in Vinh Long were impressive and educational. Duy’s attentive care made the day perfect.
