I came for the market, but I stayed in awe of everything else. Minh made sure we didn’t miss a single detail — from the vendors shouting prices on the river to the scent of fresh pineapples in the morning air. The visit to the noodle factory was a surprise highlight, so raw and local, nothing like a tourist stop. Floating down the green canals of Phong Dien felt like entering a dream. The walk through the village and cacao farm reminded me of the importance of slowing down. Minh is a fantastic storyteller — this tour changed the way I see the Mekong.
Waking up at 4:30 AM never felt so rewarding. Chris picked us up with a big smile and warm coffee energy. Gliding through the quiet waters as the sky turned orange was simply breathtaking. The floating market wasn’t just a place — it was a story unfolding. Chris explained the fading tradition with such passion that I felt a deep respect for the locals. The noodle soup breakfast on the boat was the tastiest I’ve had in Vietnam. The peaceful canal ride and the walk through the cacao farm completed this magical mosaic. I didn’t just visit — I connected.
