Waking up early never felt this rewarding. The floating market was already bustling, and we tasted fresh pineapple while bobbing gently on the river.
Then came my favorite part — cycling! Winding through quiet villages, we saw daily life unfold: kids going to school, locals tending to their gardens, and that smell of fresh earth after rain. The cacao farm was a sweet stop (literally), and the ancient ficus tree felt like a living relic of wartime memories.
Chris was an amazing storyteller — warm, insightful, and patient with our questions. This wasn’t just a tour, it was an immersion.
Loved how real and untouched everything felt. Floating market? Real vendors. Canals? No tourist boats around. Noodle house? A local woman frying up the best noodle-crust pizza I’ve had.
The biking route was dreamy — zigzagging through banana groves, chatting with kids, crossing tiny bridges. The cacao farm was a hidden gem, and David’s stories about the VC hiding spots under the ficus tree gave me goosebumps.
I travel for moments like these. Highly recommended!
