From sunrise to secret tunnels — nonstop wonder

Danh was incredible — he felt more like a local friend than a guide. From the floating market to the war history around that giant ficus tree, he was full of stories that made each stop richer. I especially loved when he switched off the boat’s engine and we drifted quietly through the small canals. I swear I’ve never heard silence so loud — birds, water, breeze in the nipa palms. And then biking through villages? Absolutely wild. Kids waved, old men gave us fruit, and Danh cracked jokes the whole way. This is one of the most immersive tours I’ve ever taken.

A sunrise that I’ll never forget

Waking up at 4:30 AM sounded awful — but by 5:30, as I sat on a little boat eating fresh pineapple while the sun broke across the Mekong, I was in absolute awe. Hannah had such a calm, thoughtful way of guiding us. She gave space for silence when the river was speaking for itself, but also shared amazing little details about the floating market, river culture, and the changes locals have faced. I loved the noodle house too — the owner’s wife gave me a second helping of the noodle “pizza” just because I smiled so much. The bike ride felt like therapy: green, open, and real. We stopped under fruit trees and just breathed. If you’re anywhere near Can Tho, do this tour. You’ll leave different.
