Thomas was brilliant. He combined humor, knowledge, and genuine emotion in a way that really struck me. The Xe Loi ride was such a fun contrast to the tranquil boat trip—both offered beautiful insights into daily life in Ben Tre. Watching the candy-making process and sampling the results was great, but more than that, it was the warm people and Thomas’s storytelling that I’ll remember most.
With Lam leading the way, this tour turned into a journey of the senses. We smelled the sweet coconut, heard the hum of village life, tasted fresh local specialties, and felt the gentle rock of the sampan beneath us. Lam told us stories not just of places, but of people. It was intimate and powerful in a quiet, respectful way.
