Danh is one of the best guides I’ve ever met — genuinely passionate and very attentive. He explained each part of the tour in detail without overwhelming us. The brick kiln was fascinating, but what stuck with me most was the way he described life in these river villages — slow, hardworking, connected to nature. The sampan ride felt like floating through a painting. I left Ben Tre feeling like I had not just learned, but felt, a new way of life.
Our guide Hannah was so kind and enthusiastic. She shared wonderful stories about her childhood in the Mekong area, and it added so much heart to the day. Watching how coconut candy is made by hand, and then trying it fresh off the press, was a small joy I’ll never forget. Lunch in the garden with elephant ear fish was beyond delicious — it tasted like something made with care, not just for tourists. Hannah made us feel at home and deeply welcomed.
