Minh was an excellent guide — informative, gentle, and clearly proud of his roots. The cruise through the coconut canals was like a dream, with green palms arching overhead and silence broken only by nature. I especially enjoyed learning about coconut products — so many uses I never imagined! The mat weaving women welcomed us with smiles, and Minh translated their stories for us with patience and grace. A beautiful way to connect with this part of Vietnam.
Our guide Lam made every moment feel purposeful and exciting. Whether we were watching mats being woven by hand or bumping through the villages on the Xe Loi, I felt like we were truly immersed in local life. He answered all our questions with passion and gave us context that made the scenes come alive. The coconut candy tasting was fun — especially seeing it made! The highlight for me was our riverside lunch: fresh, flavorful, and shared with new friends. This is how travel should be.
