I’ve traveled across Vietnam, but nothing felt as genuine as Ben Tre. Jade was our guide, and she made everything so personal — from the first smile at the brick kiln to explaining how every part of a coconut is used. The mat-weaving stop was my favorite; we even tried it ourselves! The Xe Lôi ride through the countryside was both funny and fascinating — you really see how people live day to day. Lunch was simple but absolutely delicious. This tour shows the real Mekong, not the tourist one.
Ben Tre was the peaceful break I didn’t know I needed. The morning river cruise was quiet and full of life — women selling fruits, children bathing in the canal, a rhythm so simple and beautiful. Chris, our guide, explained everything with warmth and humor. I especially loved learning how coconuts become so many local products. The Xe Lôi ride gave me that small-town joy, and the lunch — oh my god — the fish was incredible! A perfect slice of authentic Vietnam.
