The day began with calm sunshine over the river — it was perfect. Minh guided us through old brick kilns, explaining how each stage connects to generations of craftsmanship. Then came the coconut house — sweet smells, laughter, and warm people. I loved learning how coconuts become everything from candy to oil to mats. The Xe Lôi ride through narrow lanes felt like being in a movie. Lunch was fresh, delicious, and filled with friendly chatter. Ben Tre has such soul — quiet but unforgettable.
From the very start, Ben Tre felt alive — the sounds, the smiles, the smell of coconuts everywhere. Lâm was such a gentle and knowledgeable guide, always ready to share stories of Mekong traditions. I was fascinated by how locals still make bricks and mats by hand, such patience and skill! The Xe Lôi ride was both funny and eye-opening, kids waving at us as we passed by. Lunch with the elephant ear fish was délicieux, especially under the shade of fruit trees. Truly, an authentic and heartwarming day.
