Best way to slow down and connect

We’d been moving pretty fast through Vietnam – Hanoi, Hue, Saigon – and this tour was exactly the break we needed. Minh was our guide and he had a very calm and kind energy that made the whole day smooth.

We started with the boat ride and visited the brick kilns, then moved on to a small coconut factory where everything was handmade. Minh took time to show us the different steps of the candy-making process and shared lots of little cultural stories that made it all come alive.

The countryside was so green and peaceful. The Xe Lôi ride was especially fun – slow but full of life. Our lunch stop was like visiting someone’s home. The food was simple but perfectly done. And the canoe ride afterward was just… serene. It reminded me why I travel.
