With David guiding us, we felt like explorers discovering a forgotten world. Sailing past the monumental Can Tho Bridge, David shared interesting stories of its construction. At the brick kiln, I admired the resilience and skill of the Mekong people. But it was the secret canals that truly captured my spirit: small wooden houses, kids giggling and diving into the river, and nature wrapping us in her arms. Fresh fruits on board were just the cherry on top. David’s warmth made us feel more like friends than tourists. Truly magical.
What a profound experience with our guide Chris! We admired the engineering feat of Can Tho Bridge, but the quiet old brick kiln stole my heart — such dedication in every handmade brick! Chris led us through secret water paths where no other tourists were, and we floated past families living their river life. The innocent joy of kids playing in the Hau tributary, under the warm embrace of the setting sun, was soul-stirring. Biting into a fresh mango while listening to the rhythm of the Mekong was an experience I’ll always treasure.
