My morning tour to Tra Su forest with Hieu was simply unforgettable. The whole experience felt like stepping into a different world. Hieu was very informative and passionate about the area’s natural and cultural significance. The motorboat ride through the forest gave us amazing photo opportunities, and the transition to the rowing sampan brought a peaceful, almost spiritual energy.
The bamboo bridge walk was one of my favorite parts—it allowed us to slowly take in the sounds and scents of the forest. From the 25-meter-high tower, the view of the green landscape and the distant mountains was stunning. Along the way, Hieu told us stories about Khmer Buddhism, sugar palms, and local rice farming life, giving context to everything we saw. This tour is a gem—perfect for nature lovers and travelers seeking authentic experiences beyond the usual tourist paths.
If you’re in Chau Doc, don’t miss this serene and beautiful tour to Tra Su Forest. Chris was our guide, and he made the experience so meaningful with his warm personality and deep knowledge of the area. The boat ride into the flooded forest was like something out of a dream—peaceful green canals lined with cajeput trees and the quiet sounds of nature all around.
The highlight for me was the rowing sampan ride. We glided silently through the water, spotting birds and soaking in the stillness of the forest. Climbing to the top of the observation post offered breathtaking views of the vast green landscape dotted with white storks. The bamboo walking bridge was a unique and fun way to truly immerse ourselves in the environment. This is not just a nature trip—it’s a chance to reconnect with the quieter side of Vietnam. Highly recommended!
